Wuhan Institute of Photochemical Technology
Wuhan Institute of Photochemical Technology (referred to as "Institute of Photochemical Technology") is an independent public institution under the "Four Nos" approved by the Wuhan Municipal People's Government and organized by the Qingshan District People's Government (not included in the scope of institutional staffing approval, unclear institutional specifications, non approved institutional staffing and leadership positions, not limited by job settings and total salary). It implements a dean responsibility system under the leadership of the management committee, adopts enterprise management and market-oriented operation.
Development Goal:
With the goal of supporting the green and low-carbon development of Qingshan and the demonstration of photochemical industry agglomeration, exploring the forefront of science and technology, researching applied technologies, transforming scientific and technological achievements, and cultivating and introducing high-end talents, we aim to create a globally influential photochemical technology innovation platform and a leading national photochemical industry cluster. It is also an important measure to implement the "carbon peak and carbon neutrality" strategy and adhere to green development by using clean and renewable sunlight as green energy, promoting the transformation and upgrading of industries such as chemical, metallurgical, food, pharmaceutical, and environmental protection through photochemical methods and photocatalytic technology.
Plans for the next few years:
1. Talent introduction: Gather a world-class team of photochemical technology research and industrialization, consisting of 5-10 top strategic scientists, 10-20 leading talents, 20-40 young scientists, 80 postdoctoral fellows, and 50 industrial talents.
2. Achievement transformation: Build a photochemical innovation platform and industrial demonstration highland, with achievements and technology patents, research and develop photochemical green synthesis processes and equipment with independent intellectual property rights, and achieve the transformation of no less than 50 patents and other achievements.
3. Patents and conferences: Prepare 3-5 technical specifications and standards; Apply for 50 patents; Organize one global conference on photochemical technology and industry annually, and host 2-3 national academic or industry application conferences.
4. Cultivate enterprises: incubate or introduce 25 technology-based enterprises, serving 100 domestic and foreign enterprises.
5. Economic benefits: Strive to drive related industries in the urban area to achieve sales revenue of 10 billion yuan.
