Bio
Dr. Ji Yang joins the college of Chemistry, Central China Normal University (CCNU) as a Research Professor and Doctoral Supervisor in 2025. He earned his Ph.D. in Physic Chemistry from CCNU in 2021 and later conducted postdoctoral research at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, where he was promoted to Staff Research Associate in 2024. His research has mainly focused on greenhouse gas mitigation and valorization, air pollutant control, and liquid organic hydrogen carriers (LOHCs) technology development, high-entropy material development for lignin depolymerization etc. He has published 10 first/corresponding-author papers in top journals, including Science, Nature Communications, and Angewandte Chemie, etc., with over 2,000 total citations. His work on sustainable environmental and energy materials has resulted in three granted Chinese patents and seven pending international applications. He was a Guest Editor for the Journal of Topics in Catalysis in 2023 and 2024.
